Il Dipartimento di Scienze Teoriche e Applicate dell’Università degli Studi dell’Insubria, in collaborazione con il Gruppo Insubrico di Ornitologia, offre l’opportunità a 10 studenti meritevoli iscritti al Corso di Laurea Triennale Interdipartimentale in Scienze dell’Ambiente e della Natura o al Corso di Laurea Magistrale Interdipartimentale in Scienze Ambientali (Varese e Como) di usufruire di una borsa di studio per partecipare al “Corso Base di Birdwatching” (4 lezioni teoriche e 3 uscite sul campo) – vedi locandina.

Ciascuna borsa di studio comprenderà la copertura dei costi di iscrizione al Corso (4 lezioni e 3 visite guidate sul campo), e darà diritto a ricevere l’attestato di partecipazione e i due volumi Quaderni del GIO n. 1 (2012) e n. 2 (2015).

Le indicazioni per la partecipazione al bando le trovate qui, si specifica inoltre che per il Curriculum Vitae (CV) non è richiesta una formattazione specifica.

Giacomo Cremonesi – Assessing the impact of human activities on wildlife in Myanmar tropical forests using emerging technologies

I’m Giacomo,I have a master degree in Ecobiology achieved at La Sapienza University of Rome. I have already had the pleasure of collaborating in both of my theses with the group UAGRA and this year I will start my PhD. The principals aims of my work will be:
– Increase knowledge on distribution and ecology of medium-large endangered mammals in tropical forests
– Evaluation of human activities and their role on degradation of tropical ecosystems
– Identification of criticalities for conservation and planning of improving management strategies currently in progress

Despite the overlapping ranges of native and introduced tree squirrels in Northern Italy, Sciurus vulgaris was exclusively infected with Cryptosporidium ferret genotype while C. ubiquitum and skunk genotype may have been introduced to Europe with invasive squirrels.

The role of Natural and Environmental Sciences in Natural Resources management,  according to sustainable and responsible development models.

The Conference is promoted by the National Coordination of Natural and Environmental Science Courses Presidents (CONAMBI), recently created to promote professional skills and reaffirm the cultural importance of the training courses in the L32 (Science and Technologies for Environment and Nature), LM60 (Nature Sciences) and LM75 (Science and Technology for Land and Environment).

Il ruolo delle Scienze Naturali e Ambientali nella gestione delle Risorse Naturali, secondo un modello di sviluppo sostenibile e responsabile.

La Conferenza è promossa dal Coordinamento Nazionale dei Presidenti dei Corsi di Studio in Scienze Naturali ed Ambientali (CONAMBI), recentemente ricostituitosi per promuovere le competenze professionali e riaffermare l’importanza culturale dei percorsi formativi dei Corsi di Studio delle Classi di Laurea L32 (Scienze e Tecnologie per l’Ambiente e la Natura) e di laurea magistrale LM60 (Scienze della Natura) e LM75 (Scienze e Tecnologie per l’Ambiente e il Territorio).

Sunbear Symposium

From 4th to 8th of September UAGRA will partecipate to the 1st INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON SUN BEARCONSERVATION & MANAGEMENT in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

During the symposium there will be the presentation of the first results of Sunbear (Helarctos malayanus) conservation project that UAGRA is following as partner of Istituto Oikos, WCS and Fondation Segré.

During camera trapping field campaing several Sunbears and other endangered species have been captured underling how important is to preserve tropical forest habitat.
