Adriano Martinoli
Bachelor’s degree in Biology in 1992 at the State University of Milan. From 1992 to 1995 PhD fellow at the Department of Biology, State University of Milan. PhD in Natural and Environmental Sciences in November 1996.
From 1998 to 2014 Assistant Professor and since october 2014 Associate Professor at the University of Insubria, Varese (Italy). He holds the following courses: Zoology and Biogeography, for the Bachelor degree in Natural Sciences, and Conservation Biology and Wildlife Management for the Masters degree in Environmental Sciences. Research interest are on small and medium-sized mammals, in particular mammal ecology, ethology and conservation focused on conservation, management and population and behavioral ecology of Italian bats.
Bachelor’s degree in Biology in 1994 and PhD in Natural and Environmental Sciences in 2002 at the State University of Milan.
Research associate since 2008 at Insubria University, expert in Information Technology (Geographical Information Systems, data integration) applied to biological topics with particular interest on biodiversity monitoring, wildlife management and eco-ethology. Any data that needs to be storaged and analysed passes from his hands. He holds the courses of Eco-ethology of terrestrial fauna and GIS.
Lucas Wauters
Bachelor’s degree in Biology with zoology specialisation in 1984 (Anversa University, Belgium) with a Thesis on population ecology of red squirrel (Sciurus vulgaris). PhD in Zoology in 1990 (Anversa University, Belgium) with a thesis “Behaviour and population ecology of red squirrel in several natural habitats”. Expert in the field of eto-ecological research, ecology of populations and evolutionary ecology of mammals and birds, with particular reference to European arboreal sciurids, red squirrel (Sciurus vulgaris) and invasive alien species, the gray squirrel (Sciurus carolinensis). Medium and long-term studies have led to the publication of numerous articles in scientific journals of international importance. Participation in projects of applied ecology to the management and conservation of wildlife. Multivariate statistical expert.
